Another poker player has decided to announce a sponsorship renewal deal has been reached via Social Media, this time it was Bodog Poker’s longest-standing sponsored Evelyn Ng who Tweeted the following message on Wednesday, “I am thrilled to announce that I’ve renewed my sponsorship agreement with Bodog!”
Ng, who first signed with Bodog Poker in 2006, has had limited success in the poker world in relation to other sponsored poker players, but has made the most of her time in front of the television cameras to become one of the most recognizable female poker players in the world, which is likely the reason why Bodog renewed Evelyn Ng’s contract.
Ng is currently in San Remo, Italy for the EPT San Remo Main Event with her current beau Lex “Raszi” Veldhuis, where whe tweeted the news from. Overall, Ng has won some $377k in live poker tournaments since she broke into the poker world in 2004 according to www.thehendonmob.com.
After having signed a number of different poker pros over the years including poker pro and Survivor competitor Jean Robert Bellande, and 2004 World Series of Poker runner-up David Williams, Bodog decided to change its marketing strategy and both of whom were let go within the last year or so as the company moved in a different marketing direction – a more female oriented campaign. Currently the only sponsored players at Bodog Poker are Ng, and the winner of the site’s find-the-next-pro contest, Amanda Musumeci.
