Isildur1 crushes competition in 12 hour session at PokerStars

After a three month absence from the online poker tables, Team PokerStars Pro Viktor “Isildur1” Blom returned to the site this past Friday, putting in a pedestrian-like 1,000 hand session that saw the young star drop $26k. Saturday saw Blom drop even more money, and end the day down $120,000 according to the high-stakes tracking site www.highstakesdb.com.

However, on Sunday the losses would be quickly erased as Blom put in a 12-hour long session, where he played over 7,000 hands of PLO spread across 42 separate sessions at PokerStars according to highstakesdb.com. What was the end result of this marathon session you may be asking? Just a $620k win for the Swedish phenom!

The win puts Isildur1 within striking distance of $1 million profit for the year, and cements his reputation as one of the most fearsome, and fearless, online poker players to ever sit at a virtual table.

Blom’s incredible 12-hour session was mainly played at the $100/$200 tables at PokerStars and included everything from heads-up matches to full-ring games. Players in the games ranged from well-known high-stakes regulars like Phil “MrSweets28″ Galfond and Jens “Jeans89” Kylonnen to anonymous nosebleed players like “Fake Love888” and “VietRussian”. The latter of which bore the brunt of Isildur1’s big run ending the day down over $240,000.

It will be interesting how Isildur1 deals with his newfound riches, considering one of his biggest leaks all along has been in pushing the envelope after big wins, but who knows; perhaps the three month break was spent on bankroll management!
