Lock Poker and the Merge Gaming Network have had a lot on their plate in recent weeks, considering the Merge Gaming Network picked up a much sought after European license last month, along with a possible reentry into the US market in the coming days, as well as the signing of top free agent Chris Moorman to a sponsorship deal, and of course the scandal surrounding former sponsored pro Girah continuing to unravel. But apparently they still had time to sign another star European player, Spanish poker pro and former 888 Poker spokeswomen Leonor Margets-Perez, better known to us all as Leo Margets.

Margets rose to fame after claiming the title of last woman standing in the 2009 World Series of Poker MainEvent, and since that time has proven her poker skills by cashing in numerous poker tournaments around the world. Margets biggest post-WSOP score came in December of 2010 when she won the Full Tilt Masters Series in her native Spain, pocketing a cool €100,000 in the process.

Margets has amassed nearly $650,000 in live tournament earnings, which when coupled with her model good looks and bubbly personality makes Margets one of the most well-known and popular European poker players.

Thrilled with her new online poker home and sponsorship deal, Margets was quoted as saying, “I am also super proud to be part of a family with so extraordinary players, this new era that now starts is a huge motivation for me!! I am looking forward representing Lock in all over the world!”

Margets will join an impressive roster of poker pros at Lock Poker, including the recently signed Chris Moorman, as well as Matt Stout, Eric Lynch, Brett “Gank” Jungblutt, Stevie Devlin, Jason Young,  Casey “bigdogpckt5s” Jarzabek, BLUFF Pro Challenge winner Michael “bigguylegend22” Drummond, and Jason Young.
