The $10k ESPN Bounty Shootout that took place at The Big Event poker tournament series at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles had an impressive final table lineup that included the reigning World Series of Poker Main Event Champion in Jonathan Duhamel as well as the winner of The Big Event Championship just two days prior in Victor Ramdin. In the end it was poker pro Pat Walsh who would hoist the trophy after winning the winner-take-all final table.
Walsh, along with each of the nine final table participants, had earned $40,000 for winning their first round table in addition to any bounties they had collected –valued at $2,000 each during the first round. At the final table each bounty was worth $10,000 –plus the overall leader in bounties would collect a $20,000 bonus—and the winner of the event would pocket an additional $171,700.
Walsh picked up two bounties at the final table which put him in a 5-way tie for the Bounty Bonus with Jonathan Duhamel, Shawn Buchanan, Sameer Al Janedi and John Smith. So his overall take in the tournament worked out this way: $40,000 for winning his Round 1 table + $171,700 for winning the final table + three $2,000 bounties + two $10,000 bounties + $4,000 for his share of the bounty bonus = $241,700.
Here is a look at how each player fared at the final table, along with their overall prize-money:
1. Pat Walsh — $241,700
2. Ali Eslami — $56,000
3. Alex Keating — $62,000
4. Joe Tehan — $56,000
5. John Smith — $58,000
6. Jonathan Duhamel — $58,000
7. Matt Woodward — $42,000
8. Shane Schleger — $46,000
9. Victor Ramdin — $48,000
