Satellite Summary: Tilt Gives Double Guarantees, Stars Wants You in EPT Madrid

The list of satellites continues to grow, and while it is hectic to track, it is great for the players! There are satellites and qualifiers for nearly every tournament on the major sites, as well as seats into live events from the World Series of Poker to the European Poker Tour. There’s something for everyone.

This week, we’re highlighting Double Guarantees Week on Full Tilt Poker and the upcoming EPT Grand Final in Madrid on PokerStars. And as always, clicking on the site names below will take you to some great sign-up bonuses.

Full Tilt Poker:

During times of the year when no FTOPS or other series captures players’ attention, Full Tilt likes to offer double guarantees. This time, it’s big! For the entirety of the week from March 28 to April 3, there will be more than $30 million in guarantees, with weekly events doubled and Sunday events tripled.

With everything from Rush Poker tournaments to usual daily $3K guarantees, consider everything twice as nice. A good number of the daily events are already as low as $1 + $.10 buy-in tournaments, but the larger ones have satellites, which means players will get into $300 buy-in events for a fraction of that price and maybe even merely player points.

The big story is the triple guarantees for Big Money Sunday events on April 3. The best known of them are:

Double Deuce: $600 guarantee (usually $200K), $20 + $2 buy-in, satellites as low as $.60 or 200 points

Sunday Mulligan: $600 guarantee (usually $200K), $200 + $16 buy-in, sats as low as $5.50

Sunday Brawl: $1.2 million guarantee (usually $400K), $240 + $16 buy-in, sats as low as $8.80

$750K Guarantee: $2.25 million this week, $200 + $16 buy-in, sats as low as $5.50 or 1000 points

In addition, the $750K Guarantee has a weekly challenge for the tournament. The player who scores the most satellites seats into that tournament wins $400, and second and third place each get $200.

PokerStars:

The EPT has grown into one of the world’s largest and most prestigious poker tours, and it is preparing to wrap its seventh season in its new grand finale location of Madrid, Spain. From May 7 to 12, players from around the world will gather for the big €10K buy-in Main Event and the side events that surround it.

PokerStars has numerous ways to qualify for the EPT finale, the most prominent being Steps Satellites. Work through starting with Step A or buy in to any subsequent step. (All have corresponding dollar amounts for non-European players.)

Step A: €2.20
Step B: €7.50
Step C: €27.00
Step D: €82.00
Step E: €215.00
Step F: €700.00
Step G: €2,100.00

Prize packages will award the €10K buy-in to the Main Event as well as money for travel and accommodations.

There are also satellites running for the PokerStars Women Live event at the same EPT location, which will consist of a €550 women-only tournament running on May 11 and 12. Chances to win the seats run through May 1, with freerolls running each Saturday, €3.30 rebuys daily, and €11 qualifiers Monday through Saturday. Winners of each participate in the weekly final to give away another seat, or players can buy into that event for €109 any Sunday.
