The latest installment of the Micros was a specially produced episode which deviates from the main story-line as our three protagonists search –in vain—for a new sponsor for the show. The special episode features a number of cameos by some of poker’s biggest stars, all of which were well written making for a very funny 7+ minutes of cartoon footage.

The tag-line of the episode will definitely be Barry Greenstein’s “LOL Cartoonaments”, but perhaps the most comical, and unexpected, line belongs to Vanessa Selbst. Selbst starts off with an analytical description of why the show is “terrible”, before a quick Tourette’s syndrome outbreak.

Another funny scene involves Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Laak, and Jennifer Tilly, who are ready to sign on to the show… so long as a number of changes of made.

The trio are also the recipients of a Fricke-Roll, as one high-profile players name is used to level our hapless heroes –Which seems only fitting considering The Micros released the offshoot of Rick-Roll.

Other cameos include Jennifer Harman and her swearing children; a prop-betting Huck Seed; Kara Scott, proving why you shouldn’t cross her; Rounders creators; Taylor Caby, who “Does not approve”; and Gloria Balding, who leaves the guys a little hot under the collar, as she tries to harness some of The Micros run-good.
