Victory Poker shuts-down now affiliate site

Victory Poker’s short ride as an online poker site is now officially over, as the site announced this week that it would cease operating as an online poker room and turn towards affiliate marketing. All Victory Poker players have been migrated to Cake Poker –Victory Poker was a part of the Cake Poker Network after starting out on the Everleaf Network—including their player balances, Gold Chips, tournament tickets and Gold Cards.
Victory Poker made a huge splash when it entered the online poker market about a year ago as a member of the Everleaf Network, putting together a large group of sponsored poker players including Antonio Esfandiari and Andrew Robl, as well as their outspoken CEO Dan Fleyshman.
After Black Friday Victory Poker was the first online poker room to voluntarily leave the US online poker market, as Fleyshman asked the Cake Poker Network to block US players from their site. Apparently the loss of this substantial portion of their player base was too much for the fledgling online poker room.
Fleyshman posted on his Facebook page that “The brand will continue doing strategy, news (and) videos as an affiliate site… I will be focusing much more on my upcoming charity, consulting other companies and helping with Victory marketing.”
Cake Poker is also offering all former Victory Poker players a 100% reload bonus, and all Victory players who have yet to deposit on the site are eligible for a 110% deposit bonus in addition to an entry into the $500 new depositor’s freeroll.
