You can hear the sound of K’umkua fishing in the news every couple of days, particularly during this time of the year (but they are rarely in the city centre), and there is a great deal of seafood and kagura being eaten on the island.

K’umkua is one of the main fishing towns (for both of its islands) and home of many families that work here.
